Amidst the craziness the only thing that I can clearly remember is today! We got to go to the City Center temple, which involves you taking the city buses, so we got to go outside! So many tender mercies happened where I ended up getting to see my grandma as we were leaving the temple. I have the best grandma on the planet! And amidst our dilly dallying we ended up missing our first bus, but in doing so it meant that one of our MTC teachers got on our same bus on his way to the BYU football game. Pretty weird to see him in normal clothes. And Elder Hill planted his first Book of Mormon! Amazing! Also huge shoutout to my aunt for the homemade bread. My district loves you. Love you guys! Well this week truly has been a roller coaster. Everything from discussing Batman in class, learning how to say Avatar the Last Airbender quotes in Japanese, to seeing an Apostle! Nice Highlights: -MTC choir! (We sang "To Bring the World His Truth" but the arrangement sung by the missionary choir in 2024 General Conference) -Had a devotional by Elder Neil L. Anderson! (more to come) -Had one good meal at the cafeteria -Got to hear an incredible testimony from Brother Sasaki (strongest I've felt the Spirit in Japanese so far) (異言の賜物は本当です) ( The gift of tongues is real!) -Found out workshops counted for either personal or comp study (I've been going crazy trying to schedule everything but it turns out I'm doing too much) Not as Nice Highlights: -Found out workshops counted for personal or comp study (I learned this at the LAST workshop) -cafeteria pizza  The ultimate highlight of this week would have to be meeting an Apostle of Jesus Christ, and I got to sing my tes...

こんいちは (Konichiwa - hello)  everybody! This week has been すばらしい (Subarashi - Wonderful!) .  Good stuff:  -Chicken and waffles -Having the best language tutor (Japanese grandma) -Book of Mormon is the best! Not as good stuff: -ulta mega long lines in the cafeteria (たくさん人々 [takusan hitobito - LOTS OF PEOPLE] ) I was reading in Alma 17 yesterday and if you want to know how to be a better missionary please give it a read! It really struck me how we receive more of the Lord's Spirit to be with us as we show him that we desire and seek it (fasting, praying, searching the scriptures diligently), and that we will suffer many afflictions and endure hard things in order to be examples unto people. We can be tools in the Lord's hands as we desire to bring others unto Christ! When we are reunited with the Savior, how much greater will his joy be if we are His brethren in the Lord!

Well it has been a roller coaster this week because we started our Japanese immersion classes, but it has been so fun! I discovered my district is actually the best and even though it's stressful, everything here points us to Christ and then others. Jesus Christ is my why! Today has been super busy with class and the temple so I apologize for being brief, but hopefully the pictures will help make up for it.

Week 2 - August 2, 2025 - MTC

Well arriving at the MTC has been crazy! Highlights: -Our group that arrived is the largest in MTC history with 1000 missionaries! -Found out that the largest group of missionaries means for terrible lines at meal time -Had some incredible language and gospel classes -Found out my companion doesn't like chocolate milk :( As I've been starting at the MTC it has been really stressful and frustrating with a plethora of different problems, but the coolest part of it all is that this is where the Lord wants me to be! I've still been able to feel the Spirit and grow closer to Christ amidst the craziness. My district is probably the best in history (sorry everyone else) and I can already tell that we're going to do some amazing things as missionaries.  Spiritual Thought: The Lord loves and cares for you! He wants you to experience His goodness and be able to return to his loving embrace. This becomes real and evident to us as we read the Book of Mormon, and have the faith to...
