Week 21 - December 16, 2025 - Chiba

This week has been crazy! This email might be a little shorter than usual as I pack... (hint hint).


Highlights:
-President interviews!
-Exchange with the legendary Koseki 長老
-Back to back exchange with the also legendary Hemingway 長老
-Transfer announcements! (I'm going to 小岩/Koiwa)

The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind of emotions as I face the fact that not only am I leaving my beloved Chiba area, but I'm moving to a new area with a companion that has been in the mission the same time as me! One of the few things that I know is that the Lord has a plan for us.

This perfectly sums up what I have been studying about this week: Unity, meekness, and the companionship of the Holy Ghost!
Everything boils down to following the Savior, and doing our best to become perfect even as he is. 

"Unity does not require sameness, but it does require harmony. We can have our hearts knit together in love, be one in faith and doctrine, and still cheer for different teams, disagree on various political issues, debate about goals and the right way to achieve them, and many other such things" ("One in Christ" by Elder Christofferson April 2023)

As we humble ourselves, and unite in our love for the Savior, everything becomes easier! Of such I testify. 

I love the Savior and this Christmas season! Please take the time to ponder the significance of this particular Christmas. The Savior was born! He is the Christ, and I testify of his living reality!

What a crazy week! Time is short, so forgive the short email! Highlights: -my new district is awesome -met some awesome people -being humbled -stake sports day! READ THIS PART  One of our teaching friends shared with us some questions he had about the Plan of Salvation, and then gave one of the best explanations of the three kingdoms I have ever heard! He described the kingdoms almost like "A" "B" "C" levels of happy or like 100%, 50% or 10%, but then pointed out that for the people living there, it is there own personal, "100%" happy! Just how in Alma 42 it describes how we are restored to our natural frame, and it would be unnatural to restore an unhappy person to happiness, people who have never lived a "celestial" life will not comprehend that is is the true "100%" happy. Week 37 - April 7, 2026 - Koiwa

This week was incredible and incredibly hard. I love it! Highlights:  -Zone conference! -President interviews -Sakura! -concert in Tokyo! READ THIS PART  I love the Savior! I love Easter. Because of Jesus Christ my furnace of affliction becomes bearable, and joyful! I can rejoice in my afflictions because they help me understand the Savior. He is supporting me through all that I experience and he is closer to me than I can understand.  This applies to you too!  And you can know for yourself! Week 30! - February 17, 2026 - Koiwa

Time is short... but missionary work is the best even when it rips me apart! Ive definitely been trying to apply the "when you feel like 10%, give 100% of your 10%" I wish I could accurately give credit to whoever said that because it is awesome. Highlights: -Awesome DCM -incredible lessons  -met with Hao before he moves! -saw some many miracles despite our weakness -Temple P-day This week has lead to to think a lot about humility and comparison. Particularly the humility to talk to everyone.
