Week 26! - January 20, 2026 - Koiwa

The fact that I'm coming up on a quarter of my mission tomorrow is honestly unbelievable considering how fast it feels. Two years is too short!

Highlights:

-another friend accepted the invitation to be baptized!

-exchanges with the legendary Green 長老 (Elder)

-President interviews

-had six people at church! Might have to start a Chinese-speaking branch soon... (only a half joke haha)

-met lots of awesome people!

-Got ikei ramen for the first time

This week I've had the chance to learn so many beautiful truths about the gospel, but I would love to share what I've learned about the Godhead! If you are looking for a simple, authoritative, easy to understand explanation please give (then) Elder Oak's, "The Godhead and the Plan of Salvation" talk from 2017 a read. 

"So, how does understanding this heavenly revealed doctrine about the Godhead and the plan of salvation help us with our challenges today?

Because we have the truth about the Godhead and our relationship to Them, the purpose of life, and the nature of our eternal destiny, we have the ultimate road map and assurance for our journey through mortality. We know whom we worship and why we worship. We know who we are and what we can become (see D&C 93:19). We know who makes it all possible, and we know what we must do to enjoy the ultimate blessings that come through God’s plan of salvation. How do we know all of this? We know by the revelations of God to His prophets and to each of us individually."

I know this gospel is true! Everyone who is looking for a way to find lasting peace, comfort, or happiness please give the restored gospel of Jesus Christ a try. It works wonderfully! Listen to the words of one of our friends, who can only say he is so grateful for church because he can feel peace, even when he doesn't understand much!
