Week 34! - March 17, 2026 - Koiwa

This week has been incredible!


Highlights:
-met two new referrals!
-had an amazing time with Elder Kim (so sad to say goodbye)
-Had an awesome bye bye party with a bunch of friends!
-Received inspired council from President
-Met the best bean-chan ever! (new missionary)
-Had 2 new people at church!

READ THIS PART

This week we had the opportunity to meet with Hosoya 兄弟 (Brother), who is one of the most Christ-like person I have ever met. It brings tears to my eyes when I see his example of faith, love, and virtue! I will forbear some details for privacy's sake, but he is a disciple of Christ!

We sat together and sang hymns and shared our love for the Savior together. 

I have struggled to put to words the simple beauty and tender spirit of the Japanese language, and the faith of the Saints throughout the world in this universal labor of love. The songs of Zion fill my soul with peace!

They just barely released some of the songs from the new hymnbook in Japanese, and "Gethsemane" is beautiful in Japanese. 

The life of the Savior has filled my soul to overflowing with peace and the Spirit! How did he do it? Why would he suffer for me? 

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love us so much. From the depths of my soul, I want to be more like the Savior. I wish I could shake your hand like Hosoya　兄弟 does! I wish I could help everyone understand the glory, joy, and treasure in the ordinances of Salvation. 

Please come and see! Rejoice with us! I love all of you!

What a crazy week! Time is short, so forgive the short email! Highlights: -my new district is awesome -met some awesome people -being humbled -stake sports day! READ THIS PART  One of our teaching friends shared with us some questions he had about the Plan of Salvation, and then gave one of the best explanations of the three kingdoms I have ever heard! He described the kingdoms almost like "A" "B" "C" levels of happy or like 100%, 50% or 10%, but then pointed out that for the people living there, it is there own personal, "100%" happy! Just how in Alma 42 it describes how we are restored to our natural frame, and it would be unnatural to restore an unhappy person to happiness, people who have never lived a "celestial" life will not comprehend that is is the true "100%" happy. Just how someone living in America might say that their living space is joyful, someone living in Bermuda can also say their living space is joyful. One ...

Week 37 - April 7, 2026 - Koiwa

This week was incredible and incredibly hard. I love it! Highlights:  -Zone conference! -President interviews -Sakura! -concert in Tokyo! READ THIS PART  I love the Savior! I love Easter. Because of Jesus Christ my furnace of affliction becomes bearable, and joyful! I can rejoice in my afflictions because they help me understand the Savior. He is supporting me through all that I experience and he is closer to me than I can understand.  This applies to you too!  And you can know for yourself! John 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 3 Nephi 13:7 Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Week 30! - February 17, 2026 - Koiwa

Time is short... but missionary work is the best even when it rips me apart! Ive definitely been trying to apply the "when you feel like 10%, give 100% of your 10%" I wish I could accurately give credit to whoever said that because it is awesome. Highlights: -Awesome DCM -incredible lessons  -met with Hao before he moves! -saw some many miracles despite our weakness -Temple P-day This week has lead to to think a lot about humility and comparison. Particularly the humility to talk to everyone.
