There are two beautiful things I have learned this week.

#1 The tomb is still empty!

#2 There are layers upon layers of meaning in the scriptures

"Celebrate the joyous message of Easter every day by reflecting every day on the blessings you receive because of Him. 'Open wide your broken heart and let your Savior in!'" (Elder Renlund, "Because of Jesus Christ" April 2026)

This week my heart has been filled with indescribable joy as I "celebrate the joyous message of Easter," remembering that Jesus Christ still lives! He is living and guiding his church right now. The tomb is still empty, and he is living to mourn with you during your times of trial and rejoice with you in your times of joy. His perfect, beautiful Atonement exist to lift you up right now!

"Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day." (Alma 37:37)

A beautiful principle to illustrate this is something I learned from our new friend. I had always interpreted to pray often so that the Lord can guide us "for good." Our friend said, "He is like our Dad."

This truth edified my soul. Heavenly Father will watch over you if you will connect yourself to Him through prayer! I hope I will never forget when I shared this with one of our inactive members and the words were put into my mouth, "He is like your dad." The Spirit in that room was palpable.

Him with ears to hear, let him hear!

I love all of you!

Elder Wardle
